2K released the first gameplay trailer for NBA 2K27 on July 29, 2026. The video shows smoother player animations, quicker on-court action and updated arenas. Deluxe and Ultra Edition owners receive early access beginning Aug. 28; the game is scheduled for release on Sept. 4, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
The trailer focuses on presentation and visual upgrades. It includes new player models, more detailed arena environments, updated lighting and a broadcast-style camera and overlay package. Several clips feature close sequences between evenly matched teams.
The footage does not list specific gameplay mechanics, mode changes or balance updates. 2K has not published detailed patch notes or a full feature list in connection with the trailer.
The trailer follows last week’s announcement of the game’s cover athletes. No dates for additional trailers or developer updates have been announced.
