Outlanders opens pre-registration for third closed beta

Pre-registration for Monster Hunter Outlanders’ third closed beta runs July 2–24 and accepts applicants in Japan, the US, UK, France and Germany. The beta has general and creator categories.

Capcom has opened pre-registration for the third closed beta of Monster Hunter Outlanders. The test runs from July 2 to July 24 and accepts applicants in Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany. Applicants can register as general players or as content creators.

The beta will introduce new radiant monsters and additional hunter options that were not available in earlier tests. Capcom says the trial will allow participants to evaluate combat systems, enemy behavior and hunter choices ahead of a wider release.

Outlanders is designed to bring the series’ third-person action-RPG gameplay to mobile devices. The game retains console-style combat, large-scale monster encounters and exploration of the franchise’s environments rather than using a location-based format used by some other mobile spinoffs.

Monster Hunter began on PlayStation platforms and later appeared on consoles and handhelds, including the PlayStation Portable. Outlanders aims to reproduce an experience closer to those console and handheld titles on smartphones.

For this test Capcom expanded the pool of eligible regions to include several major Western and Asian markets. Interested players should register through the game’s official channels to be considered for participation in the July test period.
