Palworld 1.0: which handiwork Pals to recruit for base crafting

Palworld 1.0 adds Solenne, a high-speed handiwork Pal at the World Tree. Loupmoon suits focused crafting, Verdash covers multiple base tasks and Beegarde handles farming and medicine.

Handiwork Pals are the only creatures in Palworld that can perform building and crafting tasks at a player base. The 1.0 update added a new handiwork Pal, Solenne, which crafts items at high speed, can transport goods and can gather crops. Solenne appears in the World Tree region, which places it among later-game recruits.

When a Pal is released from its Sphere or placed in a base through the Palbox, it will take on any available job for which it has the matching work skill. Every Pal has at least one work skill; many Pals carry two or more. Managers assign Pals by suitability: mining Pals perform ore extraction, planting Pals handle crops and handiwork Pals perform assembly and construction. Maintaining a mix of miners, planters and handiwork specialists helps keep production lines active.

Loupmoon lists Handiwork as its only suitability, which makes it a focused crafting option for sustained item, ammunition and Pal Sphere production. Verdash combines Handiwork with planting, gathering, lumbering and transporting, allowing it to handle crop cycles and wood collection without frequent reassignment. Beegarde shows a broad set of work skills that includes farming and medicine production and is the only Pal reported to drop honey from farming.

Solenne’s combination of rapid crafting, transport capability and crop gathering makes it usable for several production tasks. Its spawn point in the World Tree means players typically encounter it in later stages of play. Some Pals with handiwork suitability appear earlier; Lamball and Cattiva are commonly available starter handiwork Pals, and the Penking boss can be targeted for an early higher-level handiwork recruit. Certain hatch chances, including for Loupmoon, provide an alternate route to obtain focused crafters before reaching late-game areas.

Operational notes for base managers include assigning at least one Pal to medicine production to heal injured companions and keeping one or more kindling Pals assigned to Palworld Ingot production during the early base development phase. Handiwork specialists are generally used for item and ammunition production and Pal Sphere assembly, while multi-skilled Pals are used for ongoing resource collection and storage.

The 1.0 update expanded the pool of available Pals and added Solenne; as a result, base production options now include higher-speed single-Pal crafting alongside continued use of multi-skilled Pals for resource management.
