Path of Exile 2 Adds Subscribe Button for Build Guides
Grinding Gear Games added a ‘subscribe’ button to Path of Exile 2 build pages so guides link to accounts and push automatic in-game updates; consoles saw a temporary rollback after deployment issues.
Grinding Gear Games has added a ‘subscribe’ button to Path of Exile 2 build pages that links guides to player accounts and delivers automatic updates in-game. The feature is available through the Path of Exile website and aims to simplify importing and keeping build guides current for PC players. The rollout to consoles was reverted after deployment problems.
When a player clicks the subscribe button on a build page, the guide connects to their account and the content is imported into the game. Subscribed guides update automatically when the guide author publishes changes, removing the need to download and manually place build files. Players can subscribe to multiple guides or to several versions of the same guide for different progression stages.
Imported guides can mark routes through the passive skill tree and recommend stat priorities for individual gear slots. That makes it possible for players to follow a planned progression inside the game without repeatedly consulting external web pages. Creators can upload their own builds, enable the subscribe option, and include early, mid and endgame versions for subscribers to switch between.
The developer reported issues during the initial console deployment and performed a rollback. In a post on its site, the developer wrote, “We’re working on getting this resolved as soon as possible.” Once the problems are fixed and the subscription feature is restored on consoles, console players will be able to receive guide updates in-game in the same way as PC users.
The subscribe feature arrived after Path of Exile 2’s 0.5 update, titled ‘Return of the Ancients’, which reworked the endgame into clearer goals. The build guide integration operates alongside that update by providing in-game guidance on passive-tree choices, skill gem setups and item stat priorities. The subscription system functions similarly to existing loot filter subscriptions, with updates pushed to players who opt in.
