Pokemon Go August Go Pass brings Latias and Lucky Trinket

The August Go Pass in Pokemon Go runs Aug. 4 (10:00 a.m. local) through Sept. 8, offering a Latias encounter on the free track and the Lucky Trinket on the Deluxe track.

Niantic’s August Go Pass for Pokemon Go runs from Aug. 4 at 10:00 a.m. local time through Sept. 8. The free track includes an encounter with Latias, which has a chance to be Shiny, while the Deluxe track returns the Lucky Trinket as its final reward.

The Lucky Trinket can be applied to a friend to make their next Pokemon Lucky immediately without first reaching Best Friends. If players complete a trade after using the Trinket, both Pokemon involved in that trade will become Lucky.

Players who progress through the free track receive Stardust, experience points and standard in-game items. The Deluxe track accelerates progression and increases the quantity of rewards for paying players.

The standalone Deluxe pass costs $7.99. A $9.99 option delivers the Deluxe pass plus ten ranks immediately, placing the buyer at Rank 11. Both options are available in the in-game shop and on the Pokemon Go web store; purchases through the web store include a bundle of Ultra Balls, Max Revives and Potions at no additional cost.

Milestone rewards tied to rank progression increase the number of Gifts a player can send, grant extra Candy from trades and extend Incense duration at higher ranks. Niantic removed the daily cap on Go Points for Sept. 5 and 6, allowing players to accumulate points without the usual daily limit on those dates.

Latias has previously appeared in standard raids, Mega Raids and as a Shadow variant earlier this year. The August Go Pass gives players an opportunity to obtain Latias and to use the Lucky Trinket to arrange Lucky trades with specific friends.
