Pokémon Go Sandile Hatch Day Teams with adidas

Sandile Hatch Day runs Oct. 17, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. local time with doubled Candy and shorter hatch distances. From Sept. 25 to Jan. 15, 2027, opening the app at participating adidas stores grants timed research with avatar items and Lucario rewards.

Niantic will hold a Sandile Hatch Day on Oct. 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During the six-hour event, Sandile will hatch far more often from 2 km Eggs, PokéStops are more likely to drop 2 km Eggs, hatch distances are halved and hatching yields double Candy.

Trainers need 125 Candy to evolve Sandile into Krookodile across two evolution steps. Niantic is offering free timed research that players can claim during the event; the free research includes an Incubator and experience points and must be accepted before 5:00 p.m. local time on Oct. 17.

A paid Hatch Day ticket is available for US$1.99 or the local-currency equivalent, with regional availability varying. The ticket reduces hatch distance to one quarter of the normal requirement for the event and includes a Star Piece, two Super Incubators and additional bonuses tied to earning Stardust and walking one kilometre. Ticket rewards and any timed research tied to the ticket must be collected and used within the six-hour Hatch Day window.

The adidas collaboration runs from Sept. 25 through Jan. 15, 2027. Opening Pokémon Go while physically inside a participating adidas store or retailer will unlock timed research that grants an adidas jacket and cap for player avatars, XP, Stardust, a Lucario encounter and Lucario Mega Energy. Once players pick up that timed research inside a participating location, they have until Feb. 13, 2027 to complete the tasks it contains. Niantic provides a map of participating stores for players to check locations and availability.

Regional differences may affect ticket availability and which retailers participate in the adidas promotion. The in-store timed research requires players to open the app at a participating location; it does not trigger from online purchases. Rewards earned through the adidas research must be claimed and completed within the stated timeframes.

Niantic has run similar single-day Hatch Day events and retail tie-ins in prior seasons to highlight specific Pokémon and offer limited in-game items. The Sandile Hatch Day provides a short period focused on hatches and Candy, while the adidas promotion offers a longer window for players to obtain avatar items and Lucario resources.
