Pokémon Go Tour heads to Alola in 2027

Niantic will center its next Pokémon Go Tour on the Alola region. In-person events are scheduled for Feb. 19–21, 2027 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and in Los Angeles; a global weekend for all players will run Feb. 27–28, 2027.

The regional Tour is the seventh installment in a series that has visited one main-series region at a time since 2021. The format pairs local, ticketed gatherings with a later global window so remote players can access special spawns and research tasks.

Recent Tours have featured exclusive in-person activities and timed Special Research. The previous Tour offered Shiny Diancie through a permanent Masterwork Research line, introduced Mega Dragonite, and provided a global Special Research with branching paths that concluded with either Xerneas or Yveltal. Organizers also ran Mega Night, the first ticketed after-hours event in the Tour series.

For 2027, the Taiwan event moves south from Tainan to Kaohsiung. The Los Angeles venue has not yet been confirmed. Full ticketing information, exact schedules and a breakdown of in-game rewards will be released in the next Season update.

Niantic has also set early locations for its summer Go Fest events. Grant Park in Chicago is booked for Go Fest 2027 under a multi-year agreement with the city; Grant Park hosted the first Go Fest in 2017, which experienced widespread connectivity problems. Live event infrastructure and support have been updated since then to address those issues.

Players unable to travel to Kaohsiung or Los Angeles can participate during the global weekend on Feb. 27–28. Niantic recommends watching the forthcoming Season announcement for ticket release dates, event schedules, research tasks and details on available in-game encounters.
