PUBG Mobile, Ferrari launch Speed Drift event - news.goranked

PUBG Mobile will add a Ferrari Speed Drift event in its 4.5 update in the second week of July, running through August, with Ferrari vehicle skins and rewards via Lucky Medals.

PUBG Mobile and Ferrari will launch a Speed Drift event in the game’s 4.5 update, arriving in the second week of July and remaining active through the end of August. The event appears as a limited-time mode inside PUBG Mobile and offers Ferrari-branded vehicle skins and other in-game items redeemable with Ferrari Lucky Medals.

Players earn Ferrari Lucky Medals through the event’s lucky spin mechanic. Spins can be accelerated with UC, the game’s premium currency. Normal Acceleration is free but can fail and forfeit progress. Safe Acceleration requires UC, prevents loss of progress, and its cost increases at higher reward tiers. At levels seven and eight of the progression ladder players receive one and two Ferrari Lucky Medals respectively.

The event features digital designs of the LaFerrari, Purosangue, Roma and SF90 XX Spider, along with Ferrari Formula 1 Racing Line liveries. Those designs are expected to be applied as skins to existing in-game vehicles such as the Coupe RB, Mirado, Roadster, Buggy and UAZ. Skins include unique elimination broadcasts and visual effects tied to each model.

The redemption menu will also offer a Ferrari-themed parachute, weapon finishes, mythic and legendary outfits, a Ferrari Car Key ornament and an exclusive Ferrari Space Gift.

The Ferrari collaboration joins other brand tie-ins in the 4.5 update, including Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Naruto Shippuden content. PUBG Mobile has previously added branded vehicle skins and themed items through partnerships with automakers including Ford and Bugatti.

Ferrari was founded by Enzo Ferrari in Italy in 1939, built its first car in 1940 and adopted the Ferrari name in 1945. The company is known for high-performance luxury sports cars and motorsport success.
