PUBG Mobile teases Naruto Shippuden collab; full tie-in on July 9

PUBG Mobile released a short teaser animation for its upcoming Naruto Shippuden collaboration with Studio Pierrot. The developer announced a full-length tie-in animation will be released on July 9 to coincide with the collaboration’s launch in the game.

The teaser offers brief clips of Naruto Shippuden characters, locations and signature abilities that will be integrated into PUBG Mobile’s battlegrounds. Studio Pierrot, the studio behind the original Naruto Shippuden TV series, produced the animation.

Promotional material lists returning characters, themed map locations and Naruto-inspired weaponry as features of the event. Several character abilities will be adapted for gameplay, and the teaser provides visual hints about how those abilities and settings may appear in mechanics and maps.

PUBG Mobile has run multiple crossover events in recent years that introduce external franchises into its in-game content. The full-length animation scheduled for July 9 will expand on the teaser’s narrative and visuals and will be available when the Naruto Shippuden event goes live in PUBG Mobile.
