Roblox revamps in-game reporting, adds tracking in Q3 2026
Roblox updated its in-game reporting interface to simplify filing, show safety tips and outcome notifications, and will add a Q3 2026 feature to track past reports.
Roblox announced on July 1, 2026, an update to its in-game reporting interface that simplifies how players file reports, shows immediate safety tips and outcome notifications, and will add a tool in Q3 2026 to let users track the status of past reports.
Under the new flow, the reporting sequence adapts to the type of incident and skips questions that do not apply. Players will not be asked to identify which specific Community Standard was violated; instead the system uses plain-language prompts based on the platform’s Youth Guide to Community Standards.
Roblox developed the Youth Guide with input from its Teen Council, a group of 14 U.S.-based users aged 14 to 17. The company described the changes as a front-end redesign paired with back-end simplifications intended to speed up the reporting process.
After a report is submitted, the interface can display immediate, practical options such as blocking or muting the reported user. The platform also showed examples of follow-up notifications that inform reporters when enforcement actions, including player suspensions, have been applied.
A separate update planned for the third quarter of 2026 will add a viewable history of a user’s previous reports. That feature will let users check the status of earlier reports and follow up on outcomes.
The newsroom post noted that reporting had become more complex as new features and account types were added to the platform. “Players can report many types of interactions, from text and voice chat violations, to offensive players or entire games,” the post said, and the redesign aims to simplify that process.
The announcement did not include detailed rollout timing beyond the Q3 2026 tracking feature, nor did it provide metrics on how the changes will affect review times or enforcement rates.
