Shipment Returns to Call of Duty on October 27
Modern Warfare 4 will add Shipment as a 6v6 Core multiplayer map on October 27, making it the first announced post-launch map for the game.
Modern Warfare 4 will bring Shipment back to Call of Duty on Tuesday, October 27. The compact map will join the game as a 6v6 Core multiplayer arena and is the first announced post-launch map addition.
The map is set in a harbor surrounded by water and concrete apartment buildings. Its familiar layout remains largely unchanged, while Modern Warfare 4 adds updated visuals and gameplay features. The design closely resembles the 2007 version of Shipment.
Shipment is built for close-range combat. Players have little space to avoid enemy fire, and opponents can appear from several directions. The layout can lead to frequent eliminations and unpredictable respawns during matches.
The map is also suited to players working on weapon levels and camouflage challenges. Its small size allows combat objectives to be completed quickly. The crowded design can make standard Team Deathmatch matches difficult to control.
Modern Warfare 4 launched last week with 12 Core 6v6 maps, three 32v32 Ground War battlegrounds and four 2v2 Gunfight maps. The game also includes the modular Kill Block arena, which supports 3v3 and 10v10 Gunfight matches and has more than 500 possible layouts inspired by locations such as Crash, Highrise and Shoot House.
Shipment is the first of several announced post-launch additions. The launch roster includes maps set in a South Korean fishing village, a Mexican lithium refinery and snow-covered New York rooftops.
