South Park shows unreleased GTA 6 gameplay footage

A South Park episode that aired Oct. 28 showed unreleased GTA 6 gameplay, including a scene in which Jason throws a bag of dog waste at a passerby.
The footage appeared in the episode “The Guinea Pig on a Stick,” during a scene featuring Cartman, Kyle, Stan and Randy Marsh. A woman described as an insider shows the game on a television screen.
The clip is set on a sunny beach in Vice Beach. A dog relieves itself while its owner bends down to clean up. Jason then confronts the owner, throws the bag at him and hits him with it. The footage uses a third-person camera and includes a minimap in the corner of the screen.
The woman praises the game’s graphics and a new gameplay mechanic. Cartman reacts enthusiastically to the scene. Rockstar Games appears in the episode’s closing credits.
GTA 6 has been referenced throughout the current South Park season, which is temporarily using the title “South America.” Trey Parker and Matt Stone have included the game in jokes about the Nov. 3 elections, portraying its release as an event that will change the country.
The clip is the first new full GTA 6 gameplay footage shown since August. Rockstar plans to release the game Nov. 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It will be the first new mainline Grand Theft Auto game since 2013. The game is set in the fictional state of Leonida, which is based on Florida, and stars Jason and Lucia.
