State of Play to close with FF VII Revelation preview
Sony’s State of Play airs today at 9:00 a.m. ET and will end with an extended look at Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Revelation, due on PS5 in spring 2027.
Sony will stream a State of Play showcase today at 9:00 a.m. ET (6:00 a.m. PT, 2:00 p.m. BST, 3:00 p.m. CEST) on PlayStation’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
Sony confirmed the broadcast will conclude with a lengthy presentation from Square Enix focused on Final Fantasy VII Revelation, which is scheduled for release on PS5 in spring 2027.
Square Enix previously showed Revelation at Gamescom, where it presented open-world areas and introduced the Weapons and the Highwind. The company’s segment at State of Play will expand on those elements and provide additional footage and story context ahead of the release window.
The showcase will also include new trailers and updates from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners. Sony has not released a full schedule of individual segments or the total runtime for the international show.
Immediately after the international broadcast, Sony will air State of Play Japan. That program will be hosted by voice actor Yuki Kaji and will focus on games from Japanese and other Asian developers, with gameplay, announcements and deeper looks at titles from those regions.
The two consecutive broadcasts are scheduled to provide multiple updates across PlayStation’s lineup and partner titles. Viewers can watch both shows on PlayStation’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.
