Terraria Crossplay Nears Submission After Testing Finds Issues
Re-Logic has finished the first phase of Terraria crossplay and is testing update 1.4.6, with platform submissions planned for next week.
Re-Logic has completed the finishing work on Terraria crossplay phase one and is conducting extensive tests of update 1.4.6 across PC, mobile and console versions. The studio plans to submit the update for platform approval next week if the remaining tests are completed successfully.
The team had planned to submit the update this week, but its latest tests found several issues that must be addressed first. Re-Logic expects the fixes to be completed in time to resume its submission schedule next week.
After submission, update 1.4.6 must be approved by the relevant platform holders before release. Re-Logic expects the review process to receive closer scrutiny because the update will connect players across multiple platforms.
Ted “Loki” Murphy, Re-Logic’s head of business strategy, wrote in the studio’s October 2026 State of the Game update: “Once we have full signoff, we will push the big launch button and Terraria 1.4.6 and crossplay phase one will be in your hands at last.”
Re-Logic has not announced a release date for crossplay phase one. Murphy also reported that the studio is preparing plans for crossplay phase two and later updates. Monthly State of the Game posts will continue to provide information about the development schedule.
The studio appointed Kerri R, known as “The Rat Queen,” as its new community manager. She previously held the same position at Poncle, the developer of Vampire Survivors. Kerri will manage most of Re-Logic’s social media posts and replies and help oversee the Terraria Community Forums and official Discord server.
Kerri described the Dryad as one of her favorite characters and said she became more accepting of the Angler after completing 200 fishing quests. She also identified mage as her preferred class and named Arc Surge as one of her favorite weapons.
Re-Logic did not hold its seasonal Halloween contest in 2026. Murphy indicated that Kerri may organize other community activities in the future. Terraria crossplay remains unreleased while testing and platform approvals are pending.
