Titan Quest 2 Chapter 4 launches with largest content update

Grimlore has released Titan Quest 2 Chapter 4 on Steam in early access, adding five fated quests, 13 world quests, 18 new dungeons, a +5 level cap, chat and a basic loot filter.

Grimlore released Chapter 4 for Titan Quest 2 on Steam while the game remains in early access. The update, set in the Wild Lands, is the studio’s largest to date and the game is on sale at 30% off on Steam through Thursday, June 25.

Chapter 4 adds five fated quests to the main storyline and 13 world quests, including four major side quests. The act introduces 18 new dungeons, more than 20 hidden events and secrets, and over 20 extra randomized encounters. Enemy content includes three full-scale bosses, ten mini-bosses and four “hero monsters,” which are unique named champion variants with specific abilities.

Progression has been extended by raising the level cap by five points and unlocking the fifth and final tier of passive abilities for the game’s mastery classes.

The Wild Lands areas are described by the studio as more exploration-focused while remaining hand-crafted rather than procedurally generated. Grimlore says the chapter expands faction variety and adds new enemy types and behaviors.

Quality-of-life features in the update include multiplayer text chat and the first version of a loot filter. Grimlore wrote that the team provided a simple filter to start and plans to expand it in future updates. Players can mark items as junk or favorite, and the update includes new item icons and updated tooltips.

Combat clarity has been improved by reworking telegraphs so players receive clearer information on when enemy attacks will land. The developer highlighted a new Boarman champion nicknamed the Dung Thrower as an example of the named foes now in the game.

Titan Quest 2 remains in early access while Grimlore continues development with the aim of reaching a full 1.0 release as a complete product rather than a seasonal live-service model. The developer plans to raise the game’s purchase price incrementally as additional updates are released.
