Warhorse Studios Confirms Cyberattack, Data Impact Unknown

Warhorse Studios, maker of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, confirmed Oct. 27 that it suffered a cyberattack and is working with specialists to secure its systems.

Warhorse Studios, the Czech developer behind the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series, confirmed on Oct. 27 that it had suffered a cyberattack. The studio is working with cybersecurity specialists to secure its systems and assess the incident.

In a statement on X, Warhorse apologized to players and described efforts to understand “the full extent of what happened.” The studio also thanked players for their support.

Warhorse has not disclosed when the attack occurred, who was responsible or which systems and data may have been accessed. It has not confirmed whether player information, including account details, was compromised.

The studio is developing a new Kingdom Come game and an open-world Lord of the Rings role-playing game. Both projects were announced earlier this year. Warhorse has not reported any effect on their development schedules. Embracer has said the next Kingdom Come game is expected to be released by April 2028 at the latest.

Other game companies have disclosed cyber incidents in 2026. Capcom reported in October that attackers accessed its CAPCOM ID account system, exposing about 11.7 million records worldwide. The records included email addresses and account information. Capcom found no evidence that customer passwords were compromised.

In April, Rockstar Games confirmed a breach after the ShinyHunters group claimed it had obtained 78.6 million records through a third-party vendor. Rockstar described the incident as involving a limited amount of non-material company information. Warhorse has not identified the group behind its attack or confirmed what was taken.
