Wind Runner Go! mobile pre-registration opens in Japan

LIGHTCON opened mobile pre-registration in Japan for Wind Runner Go!, an idle RPG that soft-launched in South Korea and Taiwan in July as Gale Knights.

LIGHTCON Co., Ltd. has opened mobile pre-registration in Japan for Wind Runner Go!, the latest idle RPG in the Wind Runner series. The title soft-launched in South Korea and Taiwan in July under the name Gale Knights. Pre-registration is available on the App Store in Japan; the soft-launched build is accessible in South Korea and Taiwan via Google Play and the App Store.

Wind Runner Go! combines idle progression with active hack-and-slash combat. Players assemble and upgrade teams of heroes, improve gear and abilities, and advance through a long sequence of stages with rising difficulty. The game continues to progress while players are offline, allowing persistent gains between sessions.

Combat features include fast-paced encounters, finishing moves, and boss fights that require coordinated use of hero skills. The title centers on hero collection and team-building, with equipment upgrades and ability enhancements used to meet higher-level challenges.

A recurring character named Pico appears to deliver gold and loot during play. Outside combat, the game offers island customization where players can decorate a personal island, interact with companions, and collect mounts, providing alternate progression paths beyond stage-based play.

LIGHTCON announced that pre-registration will grant a variety of rewards, typically including in-game currency and starter items; exact rewards may vary by region.

The soft launch in South Korea and Taiwan allowed LIGHTCON to test features and player progression before expanding pre-registration to the Japanese market.
