WoW Classic on Goranked: Classic Accounts, Characters and Realms
World of Warcraft Classic is Blizzard's official re-release of early World of Warcraft, launched in 2019. There is no group finder and no fast leveling: you walk the road to 60, raids are organised through your realm, and your reputation among other players matters as much as your gear. Over the years Classic has grown into a whole family of realm types with different rules, so the first thing to know about any WoW Classic account is where its characters actually live.
The different Classic realm types
- Classic Era. Permanent realms running the original game with no expansions — level 60 cap, vanilla rules.
- Hardcore. One life per character: if you die, that character's journey is over. A high-level Hardcore character is valued precisely because getting there without a single mistake is hard.
- Season of Discovery. A seasonal take on Classic with runes that give classes new abilities, reworked dungeons and raids, and level caps opened in phases.
- Anniversary. Fresh realms opened for the game's 20th anniversary, so players can start Classic from scratch together.
- Progression realms. The line that re-releases expansions one by one — The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria. This is where TBC Classic and WotLK Classic accounts come from.
A single World of Warcraft subscription covers all of these, but characters do not move freely between them: each one is bound to its realm, its ruleset and its faction.
What makes a WoW Classic account valuable
The core is a max-level character for its version and what that character is wearing. Raid sets and rare items, an epic mount, maxed professions, reputation and completed raid attunements all save months of play. PvP players look at honor ranks and PvP gear; in Hardcore, simply surviving to a high level is the prize. Realm and faction matter too — a character on a busy realm with a healthy economy is usually in more demand than one on a quiet server. So if you want to buy a WoW Classic account, settle on the version and realm first, then compare class and gear.
WoW Classic on Goranked
Goranked has a WoW Classic section where sellers post offers for Classic realms. The selection changes as listings appear and sell, so the slider of fresh offers on this page is the easiest way to keep an eye on it. If you are after Retail with the current expansion, that has its own World of Warcraft section.
How a deal works
Every purchase on Goranked follows the same escrow flow. You pay, but the money is held rather than sent to the seller. The seller shares the Battle.net login in the order chat; you sign in, check the character, realm, gear and subscription status, and only then confirm the order. Listings are moderated, support is available 24/7, each purchase earns 3% cashback, and extra protection can be added at checkout. Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or USDT.
Securing the Battle.net account
Once you are in, change the password and email, attach the Blizzard Authenticator and review the phone number in the security settings. Remove the previous owner's saved payment methods. Keep in mind that Battle.net stores the account holder's name and Blizzard support relies on it for recovery, so ask the seller whose name the account is registered under.
