Guns of Eschaton trailer spotlights Soulslike FPS co-op
Eschatology Entertainment and 4Divinity released an extended trailer on July 29, 2026, showing Soulslike first‑person gunplay, occult abilities and full co‑op with shared progression.
On July 29, 2026, developer Eschatology Entertainment and publisher 4Divinity released the first extended gameplay trailer for Guns of Eschaton. The footage highlights deliberate, Soulslike first‑person gunplay, occult utilities and a cooperative progression system that carries between solo and multiplayer sessions.
The trailer centers on a player character known as No Name traveling across a distorted version of America from the West to the East Coast. Encounters include cultists, supernatural foes and large boss fights. Combat emphasizes precision and preparation, pairing a Smith & Wesson revolver that accepts multiple ammunition types and special loads with parry and dodge mechanics more common to Soulslike action than run‑and‑gun shooters.
Guns of Eschaton supports single‑player and full co‑op. Progression is shared: characters, weapons and unlocked abilities persist between solo and cooperative play. An in‑game Codex logs enemies, factions and ammo types to help players plan loadouts.
The trailer shows combat that combines conventional firearms with occult skills, talismans and other uncanny powers. Players can adjust builds through weapons, armor pieces, consumables and mystical augmentations to exploit enemy weaknesses and adapt to bosses.
Developers identified seven factions in the game world, including V.I.T.R.I.O.L. Co., led by a figure called Widow. The trailer outlines Widow’s backstory: her husband died attempting to build a device described as a world engine, and she continued his work, applying Hermetic alchemy principles to merge human and machine.
Art direction for the title is credited to the late Viktor Antonov, known for previous work on major narrative action games. The visuals blend frontier Americana motifs with occult and industrial design elements, showing rural and factory environments altered by arcane technology.
The trailer does not provide a release date. Platforms listed for the game are PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The reveal focuses on core systems, world details and tone, with launch timing left for future announcements.
