Hell Let Loose: Vietnam — Four Multiplayer Modes

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam offers four modes-Warfare, Offensive, Conquest and Domination-with different capture mechanics and victory conditions.

The Vietnam expansion for Hell Let Loose has arrived, adding new terrain and vehicles and four multiplayer modes with distinct capture rules and victory conditions. Players, squad leaders and commanders encounter different objectives and timers depending on the mode selected.

Warfare places each team on its own half of the map with a neutral sector in the centre. Teams push a frontline by capturing sectors in sequence until one side reaches the enemy HQ or holds more sectors when the 90-minute timer expires. Each objective has a Soft Cap area and a smaller Hard Cap circle at the point. Players in the Soft Cap add standard capture power; players in the Hard Cap count for three times that power. An uncontested capture takes about three minutes.

Offensive assigns one side as attacker and the other as defender. Attackers must take five sequential objectives before they can assault the enemy HQ. When an objective is active, attackers have 30 minutes to capture it; success moves defenders back and resets the clock. Captures in Offensive use only the Hard Cap, so presence at the point is required and captured sectors cannot be retaken by defenders.

Conquest places five capture points in a cross-shaped layout; none start controlled by either team. Teams choose where to concentrate forces rather than follow a fixed frontline. Conquest adds Morale, a shared team resource that decreases when players redeploy and erodes slowly for the team holding fewer points. A match ends when one team runs out of Morale; the winner is the side holding the majority of points at that moment. If the team with more points exhausts Morale first, the game moves to Overtime, where the opponent must claim a majority before its Morale runs out.

Domination focuses on three central capture points with no set order for contesting them. When a team controls two of the three central points, the enemy HQ spawns and attackers may push into enemy territory. Capturing the enemy HQ ends the match immediately. The spawned HQ will disappear if the attacking side loses control of the majority of central points. If neither side captures the HQ within 30 minutes, the team with the most points at timeout wins.

The Vietnam expansion adds rice-paddy terrain and vehicles including helicopters that affect movement and approaches to capture points. The capture zone types, timers and the Morale resource change how squads and commanders plan deployments, defend positions and time assaults. Understanding Soft Cap and Hard Cap influence, redeployment costs to Morale and HQ timers is necessary to execute each mode under the expansion’s conditions.
