Phantom Tower Roguelike Arrives on iOS and Android July 13
Phantom Tower, a hack-and-slash roguelike with eight classes and a four-element combat system, launches on iOS and Android on July 13; a Steam demo is available now.
Horien Studio will release Phantom Tower for iOS and Android on July 13. A playable demo is available on Steam.
The studio spent four years developing the hack-and-slash roguelike. The game casts players as adventurers ascending a hostile tower whose higher floors have not been revealed.
Phantom Tower features eight character classes, each linked to one of four elemental affinities: Ignis, Aqua, Terra and Venti. Players can swap elements into their abilities during combat to trigger one of sixteen elemental reactions.
Examples of reactions include freezing groups of enemies, applying Erode so enemies decay and transfer the effect on death, and creating chain shockwaves that jump between targets.
Equipment and progression connect to combat. The game includes more than 200 equipment pieces and 128 weapons across six weapon types. The Soulbinder system lets players permanently attach stats to gear and upgrade individual items to level 99. The tower offers 47 Blessings that change how a run unfolds, altering character builds and encounter patterns.
Specific ability interactions can alter a run. Artemis Descent causes arrows to home in on the highest-HP enemy after a dodge. Chain Quake makes damage bounce between hostile targets. Combining abilities and Blessings can produce synergies that change how encounters play out.
Phantom Tower has two main modes. Climb mode carries progress from floor to floor across attempts. Survival mode gives a fixed loadout and sends increasingly difficult waves of enemies; all progress resets if the player falls.
The mobile release on July 13 will make Phantom Tower available on iOS and Android. Players who want to preview mechanics and classes can try the Steam demo before the mobile launch.
