College Football Mobile 27 launches College Kickoff event
EA SPORTS College Football Mobile 27 launched a College Kickoff event with Player Boosts, daily Drills, Conference matchups and Gameday challenges running through Sept. 4, 2026.
EA SPORTS College Football Mobile 27 has launched a College Kickoff event inside the game. The event is live now and runs through Sept. 4, 2026, coinciding with the start of the 2026 college football season.
The event introduces a Player Boost mechanic for Ultimate Team. Four-star College Kickoff players apply attribute boosts to other College Kickoff players in a user’s lineup. Five-star players apply attribute boosts to the entire team, including players acquired from other events, base packs or the market.
Daily Drills on the Drills Map award College Kickoff Tokens and offer chances to receive player drops. Tokens serve as event currency in Trades, where lower-rarity items can be exchanged for higher-value rewards and additional player items. Because the event lasts just over a week, players who want to use Tokens for Trades will need to collect them during the event window.
The Conferences Map features matchups between college programs. Playing both listed games for a conference unlocks a Conference Mashup Challenge. Those Mashup Challenges can be completed up to ten times, creating a repeatable source of rewards. EA will add more conferences and new player content during the event, with additional releases scheduled for Aug. 25, Aug. 29 and Aug. 31.
The Gameday Map will go live on Aug. 29 to align with opening weekend contests. That map contains challenges tied to real-world game schedules. Some Gameday challenges will be time-limited and become available only during key broadcasts, requiring players to check the map during live games to claim those tasks.
College Kickoff adds a new set of player items across one-star to five-star rarities. The player pool includes athletes from programs such as Georgia, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, Miami, BYU, Colorado, Indiana, UConn and Louisiana Tech. Items will be distributed through drops, Trades and event rewards across the Drills, Conferences and Gameday content.
EA has published in-game resources for the event. A Beginners Guide explains event basics, redeem codes can provide free in-game items, and a customer support guide addresses common questions about progression and technical issues. Players are advised to consult those resources before participating.
Ultimate Team is the mode where the Player Boost mechanic will have the most impact, giving players a new way to shape rosters and target specific attribute improvements during the short, event-driven College Kickoff period.
