GTA 6 Pre-orders Jump 570% After Extended Look
GTA 6 pre-orders rose about 570% immediately after the game’s extended gameplay presentation premiered online, with retailers reporting spikes in both physical and digital orders.
Retailers and online stores recorded a more than 570% increase in GTA 6 pre-orders in the period immediately following the release of the game’s extended gameplay presentation online.
The rise represented more than a fivefold jump in order volume compared with the period before the extended look appeared. Retailers reported higher site traffic and increased order counts that coincided with the timing of the presentation.
The increase affected both physical pre-orders at stores handling advance sales and digital reservations where pre-orders are available. Retailers handling advance sales reported higher daily and hourly order totals after the extended footage was published.
Rockstar Games develops the Grand Theft Auto series and Take-Two Interactive holds the franchise trademarks. Neither company released sales revenue figures tied to the recent surge.
The extended presentation drew a larger online audience than previous promotional material for the title and aligned with the uptick in advance purchases. Data on timing and relative volumes came from multiple retailers and online sellers offering pre-orders.
