General Provisions
Public offer: These terms and conditions are a public offer governing the purchase of digital goods (game accounts) on the GoRanked.gg platform. Posting the text of the terms and conditions on the website means an offer to conclude an agreement on the specified terms for an indefinite number of persons [1] . In accordance with Art. 642 of the Civil Code of Ukraine, the payment by the Buyer is considered a full and unconditional acceptance of the terms of the offer [2] . The agreement comes into force from the moment of payment and is valid until the Buyer receives the goods [3] [4] . By accepting the terms and conditions, the Buyer confirms their legal capacity and reaching the age sufficient to conclude legally binding contracts (usually 18 years).
Terms:
- Platform (marketplace) – the GoRanked.gg website, which provides the technical ability to post ads for the sale of game accounts and conclude transactions between users. The platform administration acts as an intermediary-guarantor in transactions, but is not a party to the purchase and sale of an account [5] .
- Seller – a platform user registered as a seller and putting a game account up for sale.
- Buyer – a user who purchases a game account through the platform.
- Digital product (game account) – an account in a game service (e.g. Steam, Epic Games, game, etc.), which is sold in digital form. Such product has no tangible medium and is considered delivered immediately upon transfer of access data to the Buyer.
Applicable law: The relations under this offer are governed by the legislation of Ukraine, taking into account the norms on the protection of consumer rights of Ukraine and the EU in the field of distance selling of digital goods [6] . If any condition of this offer contradicts the mandatory norms of the law, the relevant norms of the law shall apply.
Status and responsibility of the platform
An intermediary, not a seller: GoRanked.gg only provides the infrastructure for the transaction. The accounts are sold directly by the users-Sellers, while the platform administration does not sell the accounts on its own behalf and does not own them [5] . The platform does not guarantee the absolute accuracy of the information posted by Sellers about the accounts, although it requires them to provide accurate data.
Transaction Guarantor: The platform acts as a guarantor of a secure transaction – this means that the payment from the Buyer is first received by the platform (to a conditional escrow account ). The Seller receives the payment only after confirmation of the successful transfer of the account to the Buyer. This approach protects both parties from fraud.
Disclaimer: The platform administration is not responsible for any illegal actions of Sellers or any direct agreements between the Seller and the Buyer outside the platform [7] . The platform is also not responsible for the quality and condition of the account after the sale, as well as for the consequences of the Buyer's use of the account. In particular, GoRanked.gg is not responsible for:
Account blocking by the game developer after sale (regardless of the reasons for blocking) – this risk exists, since selling accounts may violate the rules of the games. The platform does not compensate for losses associated with the banning of a game account after purchase [8] . (See the Guarantees section below for special cases).
Lost profit or indirect damages of the Buyer. The platform's liability, in case of proven guilt, is limited to the amount of funds paid by the Buyer for the goods.
Failures in the operation of the site and technical problems on the part of third parties (payment systems, hosting, etc.), resulting in a delay or disruption of the transaction [9] .
Actions of third parties , including malicious actions (viruses, hacks, etc.), resulting in damage to the Buyer [10] .
At the same time, GoRanked.gg undertakes to make reasonable efforts to assist in resolving disputes between the Seller and the Buyer, acting as a neutral intermediary. All disputes related to the quality of purchased accounts are, if possible, resolved through negotiations with the participation of service support.
Description of digital goods (game accounts)
Product characteristics: Game accounts offered for sale are digital content , the parameters of which are specified by the Seller in the description of the lot. These may include level, rank, availability of game items, statistics, linked email/phone and other features. The buyer should carefully read the account description before purchasing to ensure that it suits him.
Data relevance: The Seller guarantees that the account being sold is in his/her ownership and corresponds to the description. After payment, the Buyer will receive login data (login, password, and, if necessary, access to the linked email or other data for full control over the account). It is recommended to immediately change passwords and link the account to your contact information (email, phone, activate 2FA, etc.) immediately after purchase [11] to protect it from unauthorized access.
Account Usage Rules: Please note that purchasing an account may be contrary to the user agreement of the game developer/publisher. The buyer assumes the risks associated with a possible violation of such rules. Use purchased accounts responsibly and do not perform actions that may attract the attention of the game administration (for example, a sudden change of region, suspicious activity, etc.) to reduce the risk of blocking.
Payment for the order
100% Prepayment: To purchase an account, the Buyer makes a full prepayment of 100% of the price indicated on the website [12] . Until payment is received, the transaction is not considered concluded.
Payment methods: Payment is made in non-cash form through integrated payment services. The platform supports payment by Visa/Mastercard bank cards (including Google Pay/Apple Pay) and cryptocurrency (through a payment gateway, such as Whitepay) [13] [14] . When selecting a product on the website and clicking the "Buy" button, the system will redirect the Buyer to the payment system page, where the payment can be completed in a secure manner [15] . All transactions are protected by modern encryption methods; bank card data is not processed or stored on GoRanked.gg servers (they are processed by a third-party certified payment provider) [16] .
Currency and fees: The cost of accounts is indicated in hryvnia (UAH) or the dollar equivalent (if displayed) - the current currency will be indicated on the product page. Please note that the price does not include bank or payment system fees for making a payment - such fees (for example, a currency conversion fee or transaction fee) are paid by the Buyer separately upon payment, if applicable [17] . The platform, for its part, covers the basic costs of the payment gateway for transferring funds to the seller [18] .
After successful payment, the Buyer receives an electronic confirmation (receipt) to the specified email. In case of errors during payment or transaction refusal, the Buyer should contact their bank or the support service of the relevant payment system [19] .
Receiving and delivering an account
Data Transfer: Once payment is confirmed, the account transfer process begins. The platform notifies the Seller of the payment, after which the Seller is obliged to promptly provide the login data to the Buyer. Data transfer is carried out through the secure interface of the personal account on GoRanked.gg or in another agreed way (for example, through a chat on the platform).
Delivery times: In the product description, the Seller may specify a guaranteed delivery time for the account (e.g. within a few hours). If the time frame is not explicitly stated, by default it is expected that the data will be provided no later than 24 hours after payment. The Buyer has the right to request support to speed up the process if the data is not received within a reasonable time. Failure to provide the account on time is grounds for cancellation of the order and a full refund to the Buyer [20] [21] (see Refund Policy below).
Verification and confirmation: After receiving the account data, the Buyer must check the functionality as soon as possible - make sure that the login and password are valid, and that the account characteristics correspond to the described. Do not change the account data (passwords, bindings) until you are sure that the account suits you and corresponds to the description. If everything is in order, the Buyer confirms receipt of the goods (for example, by clicking the "Confirm" button in the system). After this, the transaction is considered successfully completed, and the payment to the Seller will be unblocked.
If problems are found - incorrect credentials, mismatch with description, no access - do not confirm receipt and immediately report the problem to GoRanked.gg support. The platform suspends the transfer of funds to the Seller until the situation is clarified and will help solve the problem (see Guarantees and returns).
Warranties and support after purchase
Standard 14-Day Guarantee: All purchased accounts come with a basic 14-day guarantee from the date of purchase [22] [23] . This means that if there are any problems with the account within the first two weeks due to the fault of the previous owner or for reasons beyond the Buyer's control, the platform will help resolve them:
Account Security: If an account has been compromised or returned to its previous owner (e.g. by recovery through game support) and this is not due to the Buyer's actions, we will ensure that access is restored, a replacement with a similar account, or a refund is issued in the form of a credit to the balance [24] [20] .
Matching the description: If the account received does not match the description given at the time of sale (e.g. incorrect level, less in-game assets than stated), the Seller is obliged to provide a suitable replacement or agree to a refund. In such a case, the Buyer may be given another account in exchange or the full amount paid will be refunded to the site balance [25] [26] .
To activate the warranty, the Buyer must promptly (preferably immediately after the problem is detected) contact GoRanked.gg support and provide details of the problem (screenshots, description of the malfunction, etc.) [27] . After receiving the request, support will check the circumstances together with the Seller and offer a solution - restoration, replacement or return.
Exceptions to the warranty: The warranty does not apply to cases where the problem arose due to the fault of the Buyer or as a result of his/her violation of the rules:
If the Buyer independently changed the key account data (for example, linked it to their email, changed the password) before checking and discovering the discrepancy , and thereby complicates the return of the account to the seller, then it is considered that the goods are accepted and claims for discrepancies may not be satisfied [28] .
If the account was blocked (banned) by the game administration after the sale due to the actions of the Buyer (for example, using cheats, toxic behavior) or as a result of violating the rules, the risks of which the Seller warned about in advance, such a case is not covered by the guarantee and does not give the right to a refund [29] .
If the Buyer simply changed his mind or mistakenly bought an account, and the account was already received in working condition and corresponds to the description, then formally this is not a reason for a mandatory return by the seller. However, the platform may meet halfway (see Refund Policy below).
Extended Warranty: As the service evolves, GoRanked.gg may offer an extended or lifetime warranty option for an additional fee, which provides support for account replacement beyond 14 days (for example, if the account is subsequently reinstated by the original owner). If such an option is available, information will be provided at checkout.
Technical support: GoRanked.gg support service is available to customers almost around the clock (via online chat on the website, Telegram or email). We respond to requests promptly - the maximum waiting time for a response to a complaint or claim does not exceed 48 hours [30] [31] . If the problem is not resolved immediately, this does not mean that the platform refuses responsibility - it may take more time to check, but each request will be given attention.
Refund Policy
By purchasing digital goods on GoRanked.gg, the user agrees that game accounts by their nature are not subject to traditional returns or exchanges like physical goods. According to EU and Ukrainian law, digital content made available with the consumer's consent before the expiration of the 14-day cooling-off period is not subject to the standard right of cancellation of the purchase ("cooling-off period") [32] . Therefore, all sales of accounts are considered final and irrevocable by the Seller.
However, our platform adheres to a customer-oriented approach. In addition to the guarantees (see above), there are conditions for the return of funds paid in certain cases:
You can request a refund if:
Account not received – The Seller did not provide login details for the paid account within the agreed timeframe [20] . In this case, the order may be cancelled at the Buyer’s initiative, and the payment is returned to him in full.
Incorrect access data – You have received your credentials, but they do not work (incorrect login/password) or do not allow you to log in and use your account [26] . We recommend that you first contact the seller via the order chat to clarify, but if the problem is not resolved quickly, request that the order be cancelled.
Discrepancy with description – If, within a short time after purchase, it is discovered that the account characteristics differ significantly from those stated (e.g., the promised in-game items are missing, the rating is lower than stated, etc.), and this is confirmed by verification. The Buyer must not use such an account (or at least not link it completely to themselves) and immediately report the discrepancy [33] . If deception on the part of the Seller is confirmed, the Buyer will be provided with a full refund or exchange for another account.
Account Compromise – During the warranty period, the account becomes unavailable through no fault of the Buyer (e.g., was revoked by the previous owner or game developer due to past violations that were not known). After investigation of the situation, the Buyer may be refunded the amount paid or credited to the account.
Refunds will not be issued if:
The account has been successfully transferred and matches the description , and the Buyer has only changed plans or stopped liking the product. In such a situation, the seller is not obliged to accept the account back. However, the platform can help resell the account on the marketplace or offer an individual solution out of loyalty to the customer.
The buyer violated the rules of the game or account use , which led to sanctions (ban, blocking) by the game administration. For example, if after the purchase you used prohibited programs and the account was blocked, the return request is rejected.
The buyer significantly changed the account (changed all data, linked their accounts, spent in-game currency, etc.), and then reported a problem not related to an obvious defect in the product. In fact, the product has already been put into use, and a reverse exchange is difficult.
How to request a refund: If you believe you are eligible for a refund under the above conditions, please contact GoRanked.gg support (via website chat or email) and provide your order number and the reason for the request. The platform may ask for evidence (screenshots, videos) to prove the issue. The refund request must be submitted within 48 hours of discovering the issue, otherwise you will be deemed to have accepted the item in good condition. We will review your request and make a decision within a reasonable time (usually up to 14 days, maximum 30 days in complex cases) [34] [35] .
Refund methods and conditions: By default, approved refunds for purchases on the marketplace are made as a credit to the user's internal balance (to your GoRanked account) [36] . This means that the refunded amount (minus payment system fees, if they are not refunded) will be credited to your account in the GoRanked personal account in the form of a credit (Store Credit) . You will be able to use these funds to pay for other accounts or services on the platform without additional fees. This approach allows you to quickly regain access to your money and make a new purchase, bypassing bank delays.
If you prefer to withdraw the returned funds outside the platform (for example, back to a bank card or crypto wallet), this is possible upon agreement with support. In this case, the service's fee for withdrawing funds will be deducted from the refund amount, the amount of which depends on the payment method (for example, the payment gateway fee for a bank transfer or the blockchain network fee for cryptocurrency) - usually this is about 3-5% of the amount or a fixed fee, specified when requesting a withdrawal. After confirming the withdrawal method, the remaining funds will be transferred to you in the same way the payment was originally made, or another agreed method. The terms of return to the original payment method can reach 5-10 business days (depending on the work of banks).
Please note: if you initiate a chargeback (dispute of payment via bank) without our consent, while the service/product has been rendered, this is considered a violation of the terms. In such cases, the administration has the right to refuse further service, as well as demand payment of incurred expenses (for example, commissions and penalties of payment systems) [37] [38] .
Final Provisions
Change of terms: GoRanked.gg administration reserves the right to make changes to these Terms of Purchase. The updated version will be published on the website and will come into force from the moment of publication or from another date specified in the new terms [39] [40] . It is recommended to periodically review the section with the terms; continued use of the platform after the update means acceptance of the changes. If the user does not agree with the new version of the terms, he/she should refrain from making new purchases on the platform.
Personal data: The parties (Buyer, Seller and platform) undertake to comply with the requirements of the law on the protection of personal data. When registering and making a purchase, you provide certain information (username, email, etc.). The platform processes this data for the purpose of fulfilling the contract and does not transfer it to third parties, except in cases expressly provided by law or related to the fulfillment of obligations (for example, transferring data to the Seller for account delivery or providing contact information of the parties in the event of a dispute) [41] .
